Poker Lotto Ontario
Played across Canada, Poker Lotto games are individually operated by the country’s five lottery operators: Ontario Lottery, Western Canada Lottery, British Columbia Lottery, Loto Quebec and Atlantic Lottery.
Poker Lotto is a two-part game: the Instant Win game played immediately after the purchase of a ticket, and the main draw that takes place daily at 22:30 local time or later in each region.
Entry costs CAD 2.00, with selections being Quick Pick only
Players are given five cards as in a traditional poker hand, and if a ticket includes a pair of 10s or better, an instant prize is won. Players also play for the All-In jackpot in the nightly draw.
Optional secondary games are available for players in Quebec, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island.
Jackpot
In the instant-win game, the minimum jackpot in Quebec and British Columbia is CAD 5,000, but CAD 10,000 everywhere else.
All Canadian lottery operators offer a fixed jackpot of CAD 100,000 for the nightly draw.
Odds and Prizes
The odds of winning the Poker Lotto jackpot are 1 in 2,598,960 for the All-In game, and 1 in 649,740 for the instant win Poker Hands.
Even though each lottery operator runs its own games, they all have the same format and structure, with the odds of winning a prize being the same across all of Canada.
