Pick 4 is a popular lottery game played in Ontario, with draws held twice a day.
A midday draw is held at 14:00 local time, followed by an evening draw at 22:30. Tickets are available all day, although tickets purchased before 14:00 are eligible for the midday draw only, with players needing to buy tickets for the evening draw separately, or an Advance Play ticket if they wish to cover both.
Pick 4 tickets cost CAD 1.00.
Four numbers from 0 to 9 must be chosen, with it possible to choose the same four numbers if you wish due to each number being selected independently. Quick Pick is available for randomly generated numbers.
Players must choose between Straight Play or Box Play. Straight Play only wins by matching all four digits in the order drawn, whereas Box Play opens up the possibility of winning additional tier-based prizes.
Encore can be added for an additional CAD 1.00, with players receiving a random seven-digit number on their ticket for a chance to win the CAD 1 million jackpot by matching all numbers in order. Encore has 21 prize tiers on top of the jackpot!
Pick 4 has a fixed jackpot of CAD 5,000.
Odds and Prizes
The odds of winning the Pick 4 jackpot are 1 in 10,000.
Prizes are available at five different tiers, but to unlock them, players must choose Box Play rather than Straight Play when purchasing a ticket.
