Connecticut Lottery Games
Founded in June 1971, the first Connecticut Lottery draw took place in February of the following year. The Connecticut Lottery offers a wide range of multi-jurisdictional and locally run games, including opportunities to win significant sums of money every day.
Proceeds from the Connecticut Lottery go to the state’s General Fund to support multiple public services and initiatives, including health and human services, education and employee benefit programs.
Powerball
Powerball is a world-famous lottery renowned for its long odds and often lucrative jackpots.
Powerball tickets cost $2.00, with players choosing five numbers between 1 and 69 plus a Powerball number between 1 and 26. Players can choose their numbers manually or go for a Quick Pick. A Power Play option is also available, costing $1.00 for the chance to multiply non-jackpot prizes by up to 10 times.
Mega Millions
Mega Millions is another world-renowned lottery that’s even harder to win than Powerball, but with a very similar format.
As with Powerball, tickets cost $2.00.
Players must choose five numbers between 1 and 70 and a Mega Ball number between 1 and 25, with a Quick Pick option also being available for those wishing to play with random selections. Mega Millions has an additional Megaplier option for $1.00 for the chance to multiply non-jackpot prizes by up to 10 times.
Lucky for Life
Lucky for Life is a popular lottery game played across 23 states and the District of Columbia, giving players the chance to win $1,000 a day (paid out as $365,000 annually) for the rest of their lives, or the option to take home a lump sum of $5.75 million.
Tickets cost $2.00, with players choosing five main numbers from 1 to 48 and a Lucky Ball number between 1 and 18. Quick Pick is also available for those who prefer to play with random selections.
Keno
Keno has multiple entry and stake-based options, as well as the opportunity to enhance the base prize by adding a prize multiplier.
Players must decide on how many numbers to match from 1 to 10, before choosing the relevant number of selections between 1 and 80. Quick Picks are available for players who wish to enter with random selections. Participants must then choose a stake of $1.00, $2.00, $3.00, $4.00, $5.00, $10 or $20.
Players can also add a BONUS MULTIPLIER to double their stake. This BONUS MULTIPLIER is chosen before each draw, including the possibility of a “0” being drawn.
Note that the maximum available prize is $1 million, irrespective of initial stakes and bonus multipliers.
Lotto!
Lotto! is a straightforward lottery game, with entry costing just $1.00.
Participants choose six numbers from 1 to 44, or can go for a Quick Pick to enter with random selections.
Cash5
Cash5 is another straightforward lottery that costs just $1.00 to play.
Participants choose five numbers from 1 to 35, or can go for a Quick Pick to enter with random selections. Players can add a Kicker to their ticket for an extra $0.50, by choosing an additional number between 1 and 35, which cannot match any of the original selections. As well as unlocking additional prize tiers and payouts, players can effectively swap out one of their main numbers for the Kicker if it is duplicated.
Play4
Play4 is a Pick 4 game with multiple entry options, with stakes being available in increments of $0.50, from $0.50 to $5.00.
Players must choose four numbers from 0 to 9, and because each number is chosen independently, the same number can be chosen repeatedly if desired. Participants then choose whether to bet on matching their numbers in the order drawn, in any order, or to split their stake equally between both options.
Players can also choose a Combo entry, for a ticket with every possible combination of the four player-chosen numbers.
Participants can also wager against matching the first or final pairs of numbers drawn, or the first and final numbers drawn, all taken as Pairs bets.
Finally, players can add a Wild Ball to their ticket to double the stake. The Wild Ball number is drawn after each game and can be used as a replacement number when the result is only a single digit from winning a prize. Note that while adding the Wild Ball improves prize-winning odds, prizes will be paid out at a lower value.
Play3
Play3 is a Pick 3 game with multiple entry options, with stakes being available in increments of $0.50, from $0.50 to $5.00.
Players must choose three numbers from 0 to 9, and because each number is chosen independently, the same number can be chosen repeatedly if desired. Participants then choose whether to bet on matching their numbers in the order drawn, in any order, or to split their stake equally between both options.
There is also the option to choose a Combo entry, for a ticket with every possible combination of the three player-chosen numbers.
Participants can also wager against matching the first or final pairs of numbers drawn, or the first and final numbers drawn, all taken as Pairs bets.
Players can also add a Wild Ball to their ticket to double the stake. The Wild Ball number is drawn after each game and can be used as a replacement number when the result is only a single digit from winning a prize. Note that while adding the Wild Ball improves prize-winning odds, prizes will be paid out at a lower value.
