Racha

Racha is a popular lottery game played across Chile.

Draws take place twice daily at 15:00 and 21:00 local time, with results published on the lottery operator’s website within an hour.

Tickets cost CLP 300 or CLP 500 depending on the choice of entry.

To play, manually choose 10 numbers between 1 and 20, or go for randomly generated numbers.

Players can choose how to receive prizes, with the first option being a Match 10 bet that costs CLP 300 to win a prize if 7 to 10 numbers are matched, or go for a 0 Hits bet to win if 0 to 3 numbers are matched, which also costs CLP 300. The preferred choice is to select both options to improve the odds of winning a prize, although this increases the ticket price to CLP 500.

In Advance Play, Racha can be entered for up to one week (14 draws) at a time.

As Racha is a twice-daily lottery game and just one of several lottery games played across Chile, there are no secondary draws or additional opportunities to win cash prizes.

Jackpot

Racha has a fixed jackpot of CLP6 million.

The Racha jackpot does not roll over, nor do prizes roll down to secondary prize tiers. The jackpot and all secondary prize amounts are fixed.

Odds and Prizes

The odds of winning the Racha jackpot are 1 in 184,756.

While these are great odds for winning a lottery jackpot, the payout is very small in comparison to most global alternatives, but the prize is still reasonable, with participants struggling to find such great secondary prizes at such favourable odds.

Also in Racha’s favour, a prize is always won if 0, 1, 2 or 3, or 10, 9, 8 or 7 numbers are drawn, all for a CLP 500 bet.

Players can win Racha prizes at four different tiers.

Prize Category Numbers Matched Winning Odds Winning Odds %
1 10 or 0 1 in 184,756 0.0005
2 9 or 1 1 in 1,848 0.05
3 8 or 2 1 in 91 1.1
4 7 or 3 1 in 13 7.7

Payout and Taxes

Players have up to 60 days to make a claim, but note that the lottery operator is legally prevented from paying out winnings after this period. All Racha prizes are paid out as lump sums only, which are not subject to tax.

Who Can Play Racha?

Players must be at least 18 years of age to participate in Racha.

Tickets can be purchased from authorized lottery kiosks across Chile, or play online via the Polla Chilena de Beneficencia website.

Racha is not currently available to players from abroad.

History of Racha

Racha is operated by Polla Chilena de Beneficencia, one of two Chilean lottery operators.
