Loto 3 is one of several popular lottery games played in Chile.
Draws take place three times a day at 14:00, 18:00 and 21:00 local time.
Entry costs as little as CLP 100 for one play, but the structure of Loto 3 could cost players as much as CLP 40,000 per game.
Initially, players choose three numbers between 0 and 9, with it being permitted to choose the same number two or three times if desired.
Players must then choose the mode of play and the type of wager, which can be up to CLP 10,000 per game.
Players can choose from the following bets:
Depending on the numbers chosen, players can enter up to four different bets using the same numbers, and because it isn’t necessary to play the Exact game to enter any of the others, players have full flexibility over how they play Loto 3, including seven wagering options.
Loto 3 does not have a fixed or guaranteed minimum jackpot; instead, this amount is decided by the way in which players participate and the amount that they stake.
The maximum potential prize is CLP 4 million, although three numbers could be matched in the correct order for CLP 40,000 only!
Payouts for each choice of bet are as follows:
The odds of winning the Loto 3 jackpot are 1 in 1,000. Due to the format of Loto 3 and its multiple modes, the winning odds are the same for the top three prizes.
Players can win Loto 3 prizes at five different tiers.
Lottery prizes in Chile are not taxed.
Players have up to 60 days to make a claim, after which the lottery operator is legally unable to pay out winnings.
