Winning Numbers
El Dorado
El Dorado is a popular raffle draw game played across Colombia.
The game is split into three different games, which are drawn at different times of the day:
- El Dorado Mañana, drawn six days a week on Monday to Saturday at 11:00 local time.
- El Dorado Tarde, drawn six days a week on Monday to Saturday at 15:30 local time.
- El Dorado Noche, drawn on Saturdays at 22:15 and on Sundays at 19:25 local time.
A single draw is made at 19:25 local time on public holidays.
Players do not choose their own numbers when playing El Dorado; instead, they simply purchase a ticket at a lottery outlet.
Each ticket contains a four-digit sequence, with players needing to match all four numbers in the order drawn to win the jackpot, although other prizes can be won by matching the first or last three numbers.
Due to the high frequency of El Dorado draws, there are no additional opportunities to win cash prizes on top of the main game.
Jackpot
El Dorado does not have a fixed or minimum jackpot; instead, jackpots are determined by the number of tickets sold.
Special festive draws take place once a year to win prizes such as a new car instead of cash.
Odds and Prizes
The odds of winning the El Dorado jackpot are 1 in 10,000, which are excellent odds, albeit with modest prizes; however, with up to three draws taking place every day, there are still plenty of opportunities to win!
Players can win prizes at three different tiers.
Prize Category | Numbers Matched | Winning Odds | Winning Odds % |
---|---|---|---|
1 | 4 | 1 in 10,000 | 0.0001 |
2 | First 3 | 1 in 1,000 | 0.001 |
3 | Last 3 | 1 in 1,000 | 0.001 |
Payout and Taxes
El Dorado prizes are paid out as lump sums only.
While taxation does apply to lottery winnings in Colombia, El Dorado prizes are not large enough to trigger deductions, so players get to keep everything!
Players have up to one year to claim prizes.
Who Can Play El Dorado?
Players must be at least 18 years of age to play El Dorado.
Tickets are available from authorized lottery outlets across Colombia, with the official website being used for information about the nearest lottery outlets and for more details about games provided by the same operator, and even though the site publishes results, it does not currently sell El Dorado tickets.
El Dorado is not currently available to players overseas.
