Lotto America is a popular multi-state lottery game played across the United States.
The 13 participating Lotto America states are Delaware, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Maine, Montana, Minnesota, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee and West Virginia.
Lotto America draws are held twice weekly on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 23:00 US Eastern Time.
Entry costs $1.00.
To play, choose five main numbers from 1 to 52 and a Star Ball number from 1 to 10, or go for a Quick Pick for randomly generated numbers.
An All Star Bonus can be added to the ticket for an extra $1.00, which multiplies prizes (except the jackpot) by up to five times.

Lotto America has a minimum guaranteed jackpot of $2 million.
Lotto America is a rollover lottery with no caps, with the jackpot increasing by at least $50,000 each time.
The highest winning Lotto America jackpot was $23 million in March 2018, which was the first jackpot win since its relaunch. This jackpot was so large it also included the final Hot Lotto jackpot (which unfortunately wasn’t won).
The second highest winning Lotto America jackpot was $21.6 million in June 2019 after more than 12 months of rollovers!

Payout and Taxes
Players have up to 365 days to make a claim in all participating states across the country. Jackpot winners can take home a cash lump sum or go for 30 annual payments.
All US lottery winnings over $600 are reported to the Inland Revenue Service, with prizes over $5,000 having 25% deducted for federal tax.
Players in Delaware, South Dakota and Tennessee pay no state taxes on lottery wins, while players in the other participating states pay between 2.9% and 7.25%, depending on location.
Overseas players should check local tax laws to find out if winnings need to be declared at home.
Who Can Play Lotto America?
Players must be at least 18 years of age to buy Lotto America tickets in all participating states, with the exception of Iowa, where players must be at least 21 years of age.
Tickets can be purchased from authorized lottery retailers, with most states featuring Lotto America information on their official websites and apps as supplementary information only.
Players from the rest of the United States and from abroad can play Lotto America via selected Lottery Agent websites.
History of Lotto America
The original Lotto America game ran from 1988 to 1992, only to be replaced by the world-famous Powerball lottery.
The new Lotto America was relaunched in November 2017 as a replacement for the discontinued Hot Lotto game.
